What are the Precautions for Materials in the Processing of Precision Mechanical Parts?

Jun. 11, 2020

As a CNC Milling Supplying Factory, share with you. Before processing precision mechanical parts, we must pay attention to the density of the material. If the density is too large, it is equivalent to a high hardness. If the hardness exceeds the hardness of the lathe, it cannot be processed, which will not only damage the parts, but also cause Danger, such as a car knife crashing out and hurting people. So, what are the precautions for the processing of precision mechanical parts?

Precision parts processing technology was proposed in the 1960s. It is an important method to improve the performance, quality, service life and reliability of electromechanical products, as well as the cross-section of the bar. Precision processing means that the processing error is less than 0.1 m, the surface roughness is less than RA0.025IXM processing technology, also known as sub-micron processing, the level of precision parts processing is an important symbol of the national manufacturing level. The materials for precision machining are divided into two categories, metallic materials and non-metallic materials. For metallic materials, stainless steel has the largest hardness, followed by cast iron, followed by copper, and finally aluminum. The processing of ceramics, plastics, etc. belongs to the processing of non-metallic materials.

Stainless steel material used for Custom Precision Machining:

1. The first is the requirement for the hardness of the material. For some occasions, the higher the hardness of the material, the better. It is only limited to the hardness requirements of the processing machine. The processed material cannot be too hard. If it is harder than the machine, it cannot be processed.

2. Secondly, the material is moderately soft and hard, at least one grade lower than the hardness of the machine parts. At the same time, it also depends on the purpose of the processed devices, and the reasonable selection of materials for the machine parts.

In short, there are still some requirements for materials in precision mechanical processing. Not all materials are suitable for processing. For example, materials that are too soft or too hard are not necessary for the former, while the latter cannot be processed.

Therefore, in general, for mechanical processing, the material is lower than the hardness of the machine knife, so that it can be processed. Not all materials can be processed with precision. Some materials have too high a hardness and exceed the hardness of the machined parts, so they may collapse. Therefore, these materials are not suitable for precision machining unless they are made of special materials. Parts, or laser cutting.
